Clean cuts. Great for low horsepower saws. Nice flat bottoms in my dado cuts.
Good product - I would have given it 5 stars, but I found the accompanying instructions in very small print and rather vague. Installed on Ryobi BT3100 table saw and made 50 rabbet cuts without a problem.
Maybe I shouldn't complain; I got this product on sale. As the other reviewers mentioned, hang on to your instructions - they are just a small piece of cardboard. However, everytime I cut a dado I have significant tear out on the back side of the cut and the bottom is ANYTHING but smooth - so I smooth it with a float. Also, the plastic holder broke, but I suppose that is just the way plastic containers are. If I had it to do all over again, I would read the other product reviews and invest in a higher priced dado set and hope that the bottom of the cut is close to being smooth. There are a lot of folks that like this product, so maybe I just got a lemon.
The cuts from this dado set are great. It's perfect for a portable saw like the Ridgid TS2400. The lack of markings on the shims are a minor nuisance, but using them gives excellent results.
I would hate to go back to my old set with shims.I picked this up on sale. Ihave used this set for several projects now. The instructions are clear for the settings, and so far I have found them to be very accurate.I think this is a good set. Keep an eye on it as the price goes up and down. You can find this on Amazon at a reduced price if your lucky.
